Let me guess.
You’ve got something sitting in drafts right now.
Waiting.
Not quite ready.
But here’s the thing: it’ll never be ready.
We think “later” is safe.
More time to tweak. To polish. To perfect.
But “later” is a black hole.
And your work deserves better than disappearing into never.
These fears? They’re liars.
No one’s waiting for perfect.
Not later. Not when it’s “ready.”
Now.
Because every second you wait is a second someone else publishes.
And here’s how you make it easier:
It doesn’t need to be a masterpiece.
Just let it exist.
People don’t connect with perfect.
They connect with progress.
Rough sketches. Half-formed ideas. The things that almost work.
Done doesn’t mean flawless.
It means shared.
Publishing isn’t the end—it’s the beginning.
Feedback makes you better.
But feedback only comes when you put it out there.
Hiding doesn’t help.
Your work doesn’t need to be flawless to be valuable.
The world has enough drafts collecting dust.
What it needs?
Something honest. Something human.
It needs you—just as you are.
Because I’m guilty of waiting too long.
I hold back, convincing myself it’s not “there” yet.
But I’ve learned this: the work doesn’t need to be perfect. It needs to be shared.
It feels uncertain and raw. But it’s the only way forward.
It isn’t about waiting—it’s about shipping.
So stop editing. Stop holding your breath. Publish.
Until next time,
Riley
